General Comments

The following information is with regards to a £40 debit made by beds direct, that we did not otherwise agree to and would like a refund.

A representative from the delivery company called me at work to arrange delivery, I asked for the bed to be delivered in the afternoon of 20th March 2009 the day of exchange to move home. The lady said that they could not confirm am or pm but she would call me back just before or on the 20th to confirm when the bed would be delivered. I explained we were not exchanging until around midday so we physically could not take any am deliveries in Surrey as we would not have the keys, we would still be at our property

As I had not heard I expected to get a call on the 20th March 2009 as mentioned above. we did get a call around 7am from the delivery company trying to deliver to our new house
We explained that we were not exchanging until at least midday, they advised they would come again on Monday

I ' ve been told by beds direct customer services that we were texted stating it would be an AM for the 20th March 2009 delivery " this text was NOT received " if we had received it we would have obviously re-scheduled

On the 4th May 2009 a mysterious payment of £40 is taken from our Credit card without an invoice or prior notification or authorization from either myself or my husband.
The beds direct T&C state:
' Once a delivery has been confirmed, cancellations or failed deliveries will
incur a £40.00 charge. '

Our point is that we never confirmed this delivery and never received at text message stating delivery time.
we never recived a refund of £40 from Beds direct they have proved that they sent a text message stating an AM delivery on the 20th March 2009 or that we confirmed an AM delivery on the 20th March 2009 by phone.

This was an additional 25% on top of the bed
