General Comments

I was lucky enough to buy this Daystate Mirage XLR gun for £100 and that included a rifle slip and a stirrup pump!

XLR stands for Extra Light Rifle, and it does what it says on the tin. Very light for use in the field at just 4.5lbs.

The gun is a single shot so loading can be a little fiddley with a scope fitted but no more so than any gun with a single shot tray.

There is quite a twang when it fires but its only evident when next to the gun, standing twenty feet away its as quiet as any pcp.

The trigger is excellent and has to be with a gun so light. A heavy trigger would pull the gun off target.

Loading is by way of a bolt mounted at the rear of the gun and can easily be cocked in the prone position. The safety is manual but is placed directly under the bolt for ease of use.

I'm getting 50 shots per fill which is more than enough in the field but is a bit of a pain when plinking.

I can easily achieve half inch groups at thirty yards with this gun.
