Good Points

Friendly staff, lots to see and do in the local area, quiet area after midnight but nightlife just a bus ride away.

Bad Points

THE HILL!

General Comments

Would like to say that we arrived at the Lunamar with some trepidation as the reviews we had read were a mixed bunch, however, we were pleasantly surprised with what we found.
Although the hotel is situated at the top of a large hill, which could be a problem for some guests, we found the stroll down to the village of Armutalan a enjoyably one.
On arrival we were given a room that was at the top of the hotel and was not entirely suitable for us, however, the receptionist was happy to reaccomodate us. The rooms were clean and we had everything we were expecting, including a loo roll!
We didnt shop at the little corner shop at the bottom of the hill, rather we went to BIM, which was basically a Turkish Lidl! Its in the village, across the main square and down some little steps. Bit of a mission to find if you dont know where youre going but there was an English girl called Katie who directed us to it. She ended up being our advisor for most of the fortnight, and we booked lots of her excursions on her advise. Make sure you have a Turkish Bath, its not just for tourists, even the locals have them! We also booked the boat trip, buggy safari, and the diving with her. All were very good value, well organised, and contributed greatly to the overall experience we had of Turkey.
We ate at Meeting place a few times, there was a Welsh lady there, called Lyn, who was very friendly and their food was very nice.
Also, Violets had a very reasonably priced menu, and they sold the most amazing cakes!
We took a trip to Icmeler on the Wednesday and went around the market haggling like our lives depended on it! We got the shopping trip free so we figured we could spend the savings on all the Genuine Fakes!
All in all, we would say this hotel was good for families and groups alike, however, buggies and wheelchair users may find it hardgoing.
