Good Points

Great in towns, Very comfortable, Looks good, Reliable, Handles well, Cheap to run (250 miles to 10litres), Great first bike, Light and easy to handle. A nice bike over distances too (although not the fastest)

Bad Points

It does take alot of work to keep clean (I don't mind personaly but others seem to), the acceleration 35mph + is slow. It doesn't have much power so over-taking is interesting at times.

General Comments

My Suzuki GZ 125 Marauder is a 09 plate (bought on the first day the 09 plate was released in the UK) and it has never seen a day off the road.

Although the roads round here are very salty and it rains alot ect. ect. I have not got any corosion problems like some others complain about. Although I do clean and polish my bike regularly, and at a minimum after a good day out in bad conditions I rinse the bike off with fresh water. The chrome looks very good on the bike and it is a head turner, often getting compliments from other riders.

They're not the fastest and personaly I can get around 60mph out of mine, 65 at a push and 70 when it is screaming. I am quite small and light and others I know can't get the same speed out of theres. I have found the acceleration to 30mph is good and anything over is a bit slower. Some people complain about thier pegs touching the ground whilst cornering but I have yet to have this problem, and I don't slow down too much even for sharp corners. Cruisers are not exactly designed to be throwen round sharp bends now?

I've been just over 6000miles now and nothing major has went wrong, few gaskets changed, brake pads ect. The gears are smooth, the clutch is lovely too. The bike isn't heavy and handles well.

The bike is very comfortable and I often take it on a 120mile round trip comfortably. 80 of the 120 miles is done on country roads, the other 40 on the A1(M). With a pillion speed is reduced but isn't too bad, aceleration is a bit slower but then it is only a 125cc. Although my pillions have often been suprised at the comfort of the bike.
