General Comments

Rip off. MBNA Platinum Plus Card give a young poor student a 2900.00 limit, let them max it in a month, then let them go 50.00 over the limit and when the person finally gets below the limit they tell them to take a "payment holiday". Right now my daughter pays 100.00 a month to her almost maxed credit card and 80.00 goes to interest and finance charges and 20.00 to her credit balance. Thankfully she allowed us to cut the card up, isn't using it anymore, and has started ignoring the payment holiday, but in the meantime she is paying almost 20% interest on almost 3000.00. They sure saw her coming. If you are going to have a credit card, have a credit limit that can easily pay off every month, look at the interest rate being charged, look to see if you get any rewards for using this credit card, such as gas points, grocery points, etc. If you can't handle a credit card, don't have one or you will be in the poor house all your life.
