The flights with viking was great-huge amounts of leg room, spotlessly clean, and the nicest flying crew I have ever encountered on a kalamata bound flight. Drinks on board were average prices. check in was slick. The resort reps (whom we only say helllo to, as rarely need their services) are the girls from kosmar and know the area well-. The cost was unbelievable 805 pounds for three for half term!!
Bad Points
Administrtion at goldtrail is chaotic - and that is being kind-when 9 days before our 'e-tickets' hadn't arrived-I rang (and rang...) only to be told rudely that they were being 'processed that day' - and not e-tickets as we had previously been told. One of the party took insurance via goldtrail-the details of which never arrived-despite many phone calls! The small coach used for transfer to the resort was antiquated to the point where two seats collapsed totally leaving the occupants bruised and embarressd!! The driver did not appear to notice!
General Comments
I have to admit to feeling more than a little anxious when booking with goldtrail following a plethora of bad press. However I have to admit to being impressed. I think it helped that we are veteran visitors to stoupa, going 3-4 times yearly for many years-we also knew the imelda appartments where we had booked to stay-which are first class, well equipped (including hair dryer and kettle!), clean and well located. Based on my experience of goldtrail I would not hesitate to use them again-although I would urge them to review their customer service staff-as they really do let the company down.
