General Comments

I purchased a Magneto lamp from the Dunelm Mill Maidstone store just over two years ago but only now needed to replace one of the halogen bulbs. On trying to remove the glass cover, it completely shattered in my hand, scattering shards of glass everywhere. I have a 17 month old daughter so this was just not acceptable. I called the store and was told someone would call me back. They didn't so I took the lamp back to the store complete with the receipt. The store manager was called and I explained to him that this just shouldn't happen to a lamp that was two years old, and believe it to be dangerous. I asked if he could replace the lamp for me and I was told that they did not stock this any longer as the company had gone into administration, so I could not even get replacement covers for it. He was extremely unhelpful, refused to replace the lamp for an alternative, and said he could not do anything. I left the store with no replacement and a dangerous, defective lamp!
