gpo charged me £100 to cancel a policy when my car failed M O T they deal with credit brokers high APR

    wrong. they dont deal with credit brokers, p/office is the broker. apr is 5% insurance premium tax, as it is with every broker. the reason you were charged the £100 or so, is because you have entered into a 12montly contract, which you are breaking not the p/office. whether or not your car failed the MOT or not, either way theyd see it you have broken a 12month contract ( which you have). its called a short term rate charge, which the broker will charge you a % of your premium depending on when you cancel the policy.
