Good Points
The menu is imaginative and the quality of the food matches the description. This is not a cuisine nouvelle establishment, the size of portions is reasonable.
Bad Points
If you can call it a bad point, but the restaurant is TOO popular. I thought there was a financial crisis in the UK, but you would not think so if you visit this restaurant.
General Comments
This is a real fine dining experience, and I cannot understand the negative reviews on this site.
The Hardwick building and inside atmosphere are really historic, not too formal yet with a pleasant quiet surround.
You can have bitter on tap at the bar, followed by being escorted to a nicely decorated, if rustic, table.
