General Comments

Picked up from the hotel at 1pm for a 7 pm Virgin Atlantic Airways flight- or so we thought, arrived at the airport around 4pm, we were told to go in the back door to join the check in queue.

We stood in exactly the same spot for over an hour at least, more coaches kept arriving some were joining the back of the queue and some passengers were not, there was no explanation from the Virgin Rep what the delay was, our plane was already delayed to 9pm we waited and additional 3 hours to be checked in - can you believe it - no rep, no-one oprganising a queuing system, not even a glass of water, at least we were fit enought to be able to stand this long, what if we werent? and you couldnt leave the queue. When we did get through to the departure lounge we had to wait while everyone was checked in and then we had to queue again while we are counted and given a number which was set against our baggage,when we eventually got on the plane again we were not even offered a glass of water. Where is the customer care that Virgin are always boasting about, we might have been in economy class but it was more like cattle class, we eventually took off around midnight! We had a meal and a drink before settling down we were now due to land at 1pm british time and what did they give us for breakfast a cereal bar or a muffin - even if we had landed at the correct time I would have thought this was a poor show, no wonder Branson is boasting about their profits, at the cost of the customer I would say. Would not recommed Virgin to anyone!
