General Comments
Have owned one of these Ford Fiesta Mk4 1.25 Zetec for the last 4 years, could hardly be happier! In comparison to other small cars with similar engines you can't do much worse than this, some friends who have had similar cars (punto, polo, ibiza, swift) have all spent more maintaining and repairing and with the exception of the Polo my fezzy can out-drag all these! Handles very nicely (although my driving isn't the best!) and if you're after a bit of fun the back end will kick out a little with persuasion. Cheap to buy, run and maintain, also maintenance is very easy. With no prior knowledge or mechanical experience, just a haynes and the manufacturers manual, I can service the car myself and do a few simple repairs. Radio and speakers super easy to change (although as standard they do fit that awful oversized ford radio housing). The one area this car falls down is looks, inside and outside. It looks awful, some of the weirdest lumps and bumps on the bodywork, nasty grey plastic interior on mine, you need some alloys on this as the standard covers are truly shocking! I've had issues with the rear wiper motor working intermittently, electric contacts on boot lid very rusty when I bought it (not sure if this is due to lack of attention from previous owner), lock on passenger side sticks, rust starting to appear in wheel arches, at bottom of drivers side door and at very front of bonnet.

I am not going to get in an argument with ya but I really like the looks. I have the ghia with the gray interior and I love it. My rear wiper works intermittently as well. Thats one of the bad points of owning a Fiesta I suppose. I wouldnt trade mine in for the world tho!
