Echelon Conspiracy Review

Echelon Conspiracy is a sci-fi now conspiracy movie touching upon the disclosure that Echelon [a now revealed agency a bit like interpol but IT focused since it's beginnings of revelation in 1999 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/503224.stm] follows a guy who gets a new mobile phone. The phone which tells him how to get money and succeed. It gets him into deeper waters, that's when it begins!

Originally titled the Gift, it's been translated or renamed into Echelon Conspiracy. This fad has bee touted by the sub culture some time. However the film makes rather few references to it. For the protagonist being an IT hak, I find it rather stupid that he's not heard of the theory. If you've seen The Net, War Games 2, Enemy of the state then you expect the same really. It's got excellent intro if you don't know the excess of surveillance open to a State intelligence service.

This formula has been done too many times. For a first movie of its kind then yeah.. all good. This is the second release of in effect the same movies as enemy of the State and War games 2. My advice, save your money and rent the Matrix again.

a hero... makes lots of wins by a super computer that does the odds. In effect this super PC is so dull not to realise that someone corruptible might not be ethically as vicious [in the Aristotle sense] as it predicts. It's been right all along since.
