Good Points

Consistent performance, good looks, excellent quality, long warranty and high efficiency (just over 1 block per week for a household of 5 adults).

Bad Points

Not a bad point as such, but the unit is supplied with a meter fixed to the general water hardness in the area (salt setting 5 in my my case). Although there is an adjustment for the amount of salt used in the brine tank (giving a degree of hardness adjustment) I would have preferred a little more control with the main hardness adjustment in order to minimise salt and water consumption and match it exactly to my area.

General Comments

We bought the 2020c High Flow version of the Kinetico a few weeks ago and I have to say we are very impressed with its performance so far. The flow from our shower heads is still good and the water is soft and silky. The 2020 is silent during normal operation but you can hear a rush of water when it ' s regenerating. Unlike another non-electric machine we looked at, the flow rate is very consistent even during regeneration. This was an important consideration for us because we did not want the water temperature to vary when another tap in the house was used during showers. The water quality is consistent and does not vary when the tanks switch.
