General Comments

do not buy this Samsung YP-U3 1 GB . it is a fantastic mp3 player while it works, but many many people seem to have had the same problem as me with samsung mp3 players in general. one day you will plug your mp3 player into your pc and it will not connect, the pc will recognise it and disconnect it immediately, probably with a message about an mtp driver it needs to install, which consequently it will not be able to find. when you do find it and download it (from the microsoft website) it still will not work. it seems that the player is incorrectly recognised as an mtp device, yet there are no drivers available for the yp-u3, and there appears to be no easy fix.

I have just bought a Samsung YP-P3 and it has the same driver problem (i.e. the PC stopped recognising it and you cannot find the driver). I was a fan of Samsung, but this has put me off. I can't believe that Samsung have not recognised this fault and put a fix on their website - really rubbish site by the way!
