General Comments

Iberia - London heathrow to Rio International (14 may 2009 outbound, 22 May 2009 Inbound) - aircraft AirbusA321 & A340-300.

Iberia is without doubt the worst airline I have ever flown on longhaul.

I found the staff indifferent, rude and I couldn't get any information out of them. The outbound flights were: London Heathrow to Madrid (this went ok, left on time, but the price of the food and drink were extortionate) The real turndown was the A340-300 from Madrid to Rio - uncomfortable seats, no seatback entertainment systems, bad food, I had to virtually beg for a drink.

Coming back was worse: delayed at Rio for 2 hours, then another 1.5hours because of technical problems, again no seatback entertainment, bad food etc. Got to Madrid 3.5 hours late, then had to wait another 1hour because they couldn't get the passenger tunnel to work. Finally, managed to get onto my flight to London with about 5 minutes to spare.

Overall I urge you to vote with your feet and DON'T FLY ON IBERIA - I HAVE TOLD ALL MY FRIENDS TO AVOID IBERIA AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a seasoned traveller having probably made 80 longhaul flights in my life.
