My experience of Motorpoint hasn't been all too great.
I was thinking about getting a new car, so visited my branch, and saw a 2008 Corsa I liked.
My mum was hesitant on me buying from the first place I had looked at, but we did get a good deal (eventually after getting the price down and not taking the £160 service charge for its first year)
Was annoyed as part of the fee to have the car checked, valated etc there was a charge for a new set of number plates.
I had been given new private plates for my birthday so didn't want them, but they still had to charge even though we didn't want them!

Everything was ok, so I paid my £300 deposit.
The car I had chosen was on its way to the Derby showroom, so it would take 2 weeks or so to come back up to Glasgow.
Then a week later it had arrived (which was good), so we took the 45 minute trip through, to check the car out.

There was a few marks, scratches which were to be fixed for the following Friday when we were due to pick it up and pay.

So Friday comes (both myself and my mum took time off work to go)
And the car isnt ready to collect. The mechanic had painted the back bumper (which only needed a small repair)
And hadn't done the front, which has a significant marks that needed fixed.
I'm not sure why it haden't been checked before we had actually arrived!

So I now had to rearrange to come back on the Monday to collect my car.

I have now collected my car. I had to wait till the next day to receive a £100 refund back on my card, for the inconvience I have had.
It was due back on the Tuesday, after phoning on Wednesday, the after sales department have no record on me being due back the £100!!

I then phoned on the Thursday and was told the cheque was in the post and I should receive it that day or the Friday.
I was annoyed as I was told it would have been debited back onto my card!

I received the cheque on Saturday and noticed it had only been posted out on the Friday.
So the sales person was wrong again as it wasn't in the post till 2 days after he said.

Overall my experience wasn't all too great.
I would have taken my deposit back after the first hiccup if I knew how the situation was going to end up.

But as I had taken time to arrange leave from work, drive through to Motorpoint, arrange the payment from the bank and insurance, I thought it would be ok.
The sales person was good, but I was never told that the second key can take up to 30 days to receive until after I mentioned the second key.

I would say to anyone looking to buy a car from Motorpoint, make sure you ask all the question you have, even if you think they are silly.
The communication between the sales and the department that deals with the paperwork wasn't too great.
Also be prepared as something is likely to go wrong or be delayed.

Overall if you are looking save some money when buying a car rather than going to the dealerships then be prepared, and I hope you have better experience than mine.
