AA Car Insurance Review

im with virgin media, so i havent had massive phone bills having to constently ring the AA and AXA.

No courtesy car, bad phone manner, bad repair garages, hidden charges, humm.... pretty much EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

being extremly accident prone, my insurance is very high anyway, but found the aa was the cheapest, ( £2.500) full comp, and the highest excess u can get, i thought i was covered, oh what a shame, that wasnt true, having had three accidents in three years, all not my fault, not once did i get my courstey car, and i found i had to fill out 4 forms to each company, the aa, the axa, because the aa lost the forms! and kept demanding higher and higher "premiums", every time i claim, thats not to mention the excess, and when i phoned to complain or ask about the claim, i was passed from pillar to post, and found that the aa, and axa past the blame to each other, on one occasion i ended up being transfered to the aa vehicle service team, which is their in house team dealing with their service department for the breakdown service, to say the least that was a strange conversation. having had the car repaired once before by their appointed garage and to find the car hadent been repaired totally : someone backed into my parked car, smashing the front of the car, and cracking the radiator, before i left the garage i checked the car over and found the rad hadent been fixed, so when the next accident happened i pleaded with the aa not to send it there, i was meet with the comment u can use another garage, but you will have to pay for the repairs as we wont cover it. Excuse me?, my money, my car, and i have to use some garage, guess what? only half the work was done again!, yes you guessed it, the thrid time it went in the same happened again!, Thanks the AA! i toke it for an MOT straight after picking it up, to find that the bulbs of the lights were missing, yes its not that they wont working, THEY HAD BEEN REMOVED AND NOT REPLACED! once again on the phone to the aa, once again a brick wall. Two weeks later i was made redundant, and could no longer afford the car or insurance, so while i was waiting to get rid of the car, i cancelled the insurance, and received 3 letters from the aa, 1st : dear sir you owe us £37.97, thats the last hidden charge for the last time the car went in by the way, 2nd letter: dear sir, the insurance policy is cancelled please send us the cover note, 3rd letter you insurance cover will end on the 15 may 2009. ok finnaly its all over, OH NO!, 22nd of may, i received a letter from a debt collector : dear sir contact us within 7 days concering the balance of £1012.37 owed to the aa! after speaking to the debt collector, whom were very understanding, and have allowed me to the CBA deal with the debt, i phoned the AA and ask why i was never sent a letter concerening the so called outstanding amount, only to be transfered back and forward, to finnaly speak to someone whom said that the AA had no obligation to keep me informed, and it was now up to the debt collectors to " sort me and my financial problems out" and put the phone down on me. the aa have never sent me a letter stating i owe them this money, so now im using the CBA to slug it out with them, but untill then i have to pay the debt collector, whom may i say have been more than understanding, and generous, compared to the money hungry AA.
