★★☆☆☆

Good Points
Clean and well appointed caravan
Nice beach
Scenic located
Wildlife
Sea views

Bad Points
Drunken revelers late at night who seem to have no consideration for others
Passes only cover entry (arcades) to use anything inside you will have to pay extra.(obviously entertainment is free and use of swimming pools and kids clubs restricted times)
Army gunfire
Haven sites seems to attract unsavory type of people I'm afraid. (not all i would like to add)

General Comments
I had never been to a haven site before. the site is huge and clean. On arrival eventually found reception where staff were professional and helpful. We hired our caravan privately and were not disappointed with nice sea views and immaculate interior, equipped with everything necessary. Our holiday was in may and weather was terribly windy/rainy for first few days and needed heating on. We had gas fire in lounge and (thank goodness) electric heaters in hallway, main bedroom and bathroom. We needed to use all as chilly in day but v. cold at night. the beach was large and sandy easily accessible via a walkway down a hill, as site is situated on top of a cliff. (not a danger). on walking down to beach and amongst the grassy areas you will find lots of little rabbits feeding and hopping about everywhere which was nice. We had been advised to purchase passes (so we did, waste of money) as you could not access anything without them, this did not prove to be the case, we used the supermarket and we walked through the arcade and swimming pool and was never asked to show them. The passes are to gain access to swim pool (but u need £1 per locker non refundable) the arcades (which everything inside you have to pay extra aswell e.g. bowlingo, machines, air hockey etc). the entertainment (didnt do that) and kids club ( i found the slot for my childs (12 ) club was from 12noon to 1pm only).

On site at bottom adjacent to beach is an army firing range and each day am and pm (not weekends) there is gunfire practice, ok not such a problem but is clearly heard and repetitive everywhere on site. We thought the site was well located with nice beach too.

Only real big problem we had was late at night people would roll out of the disco/club (this is at midnight to 1am) some with small children walking back to their caravans shouting and yelling and having arguments seeming to have no consideration for others (if you are trying to sleep), this happened EVERY night.

top tip a supermarket is just 4/5 mins up road. A good freshly cooked fish and chip shop, a fishmongers sells crabmeat (white and brown mixed) at £2.29 per 100gms(lovely) so you can make your own crab sandwiches, lovely local bakery, butchers and taj mahal indian all on same little street.(car parking free after 6pm)

This site is good as a base for exploring devon sidmouth, lyme regis, charmouth, torquay, dartmouth etc if you can tolerate lots of noisy people passing late at night).
