Good Points

Has many useful features that any high end camera would be proud to have included in theirs, such as Quickview(instantly shows the picture after it is taken), Liveview(which allows for a 3x digital zoom so you can better fit the subject in the picture without moving closer), 4 levels of picture quality(all of which are great but some more appropriate for larger print sizes than others), Auto timer(which gives the abilty to both take the picture and be in it), Video setting( which aloows you to use it as a Web cam if wanted, though no sound, or record 30 seconds of video), ability to switch between internal memory and an SD media card for image storing, Light exposure setting(which allows you to change how bright the pictures come out by changing how much light is let in through the lense), 3 different color settings(for color, black & white, and sepia or antiqued as they call it), Display shows battery life as well as picture quality and flash level. There are many more but to name them all would take too much time. Simply put, if this camera was not considered to be a high end unit in 2003 it should have been.

Bad Points

To tell the truth, other than the lack of a telephoto lense, I can't think of a single bad point about it. After all, the use of the highest picture quality well makes up for the degradation in image quality when using the Liveview feature.

General Comments

Have found it used on Amazon for 49.99, which is probably the best condition you'll find it in since they no longer sell replacement parts for it, and at that price, having used it myself, I can say it is well worth the price. The features are great at that price it is easy to use and figure out and the picture quality, to me, is excellent even at the lowest quality image. Mind you at the lowest two settings the liveview feature does make for a lower quality picture but but in the highest setting I see no depreciable difference between lowest quality without liveview feature and highest setting with. Again. even in the lowest quality setting the pictures without the liveview feature is awesome. I have had 35mm film cameras that didn't take as high quality photos. I was just lucky enough to have found one with an SD media card but no other accessories for $2.99 in a used abit store and I have found it to have more going for it than some new $49.99 cameras. I could not have been more pleased with it than if I had paid $80 for it.
