Good Points

The car, needed work but agreed to cover repairs, though other reviews lead me to believe they may not have been carried out.


Bad Points

Customer services, their awareness of financing specifics, also low part exchange rates.


General Comments

Was okayed to finance an Avensis by Lloyds TSB Car Select only to see the interest rate was not even close to the 5.8% base rate I had been told they offer. No one there would except, or explain, that the rate on the signed agreement was above 10.7% even with a clean credit record. After contacting Black Horse, who were good to deal with, they explained the rate is based on each individual and would not necessarily be 5.8 with a good record. Which is fine, but would I had known that I would've avoided the 200mile round trip to purchase the car and had foundout my individual rate over the phone.

The selection of cars is great, but most car hyper markets are. If you're financing a used car double check the small print before signing and be sure of of it, not act like you are. I asked for a refund on my deposit and walked away.
