Don't use Expedia,it is terrible! When you make a reservation online and go through the entire process (book hotel, flight, car) and input credit card info then submit booking, if for some reason one portion of the package is not available (type of car is unavailable or hotel type is unavailable) it tells you that "your booking was not made because the rental car portion was not available", however it actually puts an authorization hold on your credit card for 48-72 hours. I tried twice to make a reservation with a different car class and rental company and it rejected my reservation because the car type was unavailable again. So there were 2 holds on my card for the 2 attempts I made to reserve. I tried to have expedia call my bank to release the hold but they would only do it if I continued to make a reservation with them. I said I didn't not want to book with them because of this hassle and the customer service rep said, "then we cannot release the hold." That's blackmail ! They are holding up funds that I have a right to use.
