Easy to use and similar to the D700 (so great backup)
But ideal for those on a budget that dosent quite stretch to a D700/D3
Bad Points
Alwasy forget symbols for Exposure and Focus - Oh for a label!!!

General Comments
Bought this D300 as a backup to a Nikon D700 (well you never can tell), performs just as well and sometimes forget which is which!
Went for a 300 over another 700 (besides cost) was for the smaller sensor giving a 1.5x extra zoom. Ok ISO not quite as good but nice to have the extra reach with a 300mm!
