Good Points

They have now added a two and three course set menu for £12 and £15 respectively for the price conscious. there isn't a lot of choice in the set menu but the price more than makes up for that. a very nice lounge area to relax in.


Bad Points

They don't open for Sunday Lunch anymore which is a real shame as the other choices in Merthyr seem to be a mixture of mushy vegetables and school dinner style queue's in carveries.


General Comments

All i can say is that the food is fantastic. i had a sirloin steak as my main meal and it was delicious. i can't remember the last time i had a steak as tasty. also, i shared one of their homemade chocolate cheesecakes with my wife but now wish i hadn't as i could have eaten it all myself. i have never tasted a cheesecake like it.
overall the experience was great, i would recommend the restaurant to anyone. i definetley rate Stables View Restaurant as the best restaurant in Merthyr Tydfil.
