Appalling service!


General Comments

We ordered and paid for a tumble dryer from tesco online, on Thursday 14th May 2009 and arranged delivery for, Monday 18th May 2009, between 7am and 7pm.

After waiting in all day the order had still not arrived by 6.35pm so we telephoned customer services to enquire as to its whereabouts to be told that the warehouse had shut half an hour previous. Not satisfied with that answer we were put on hold to allow for investigation. We were then informed that there was a courier problem and that we would not be receiving the item today at all and the next delivery slot available was Thursday 21st May 2009, 3 days later!! As you can imagine, that was totally unacceptable which left us no choice but to cancel the order. If we had not phoned to find out where it was we would never have known and for a large national company I find this service appalling! I will not be recommending this service to any of my friends or family. This may not mean much or matter to tesco however I know that if I don't deliver as promised within my role at work I would be fired! Words cannot describe how angry I am at having wasted a whole day and now still without a much needed appliance which I will buy from the high street tomorrow as I clearly should have done in the first place.
