It's just awesome. Period.

Bad Points

Hard to hear Burton, so maybe James and Lars should have had someone with an unbiased opinion mix it.

General Comments

This album is beast. The grinding guitars will melt your face like ice cream on a 200 degree day. The drums will make your legs and arms pain just hearing them. Once I actually listened, the bass was awesome. This is an extremely similar format to Ride the Lighning, the bands second studio disc, with an extremely fast opening track and album namesake second track. They both only have one "softer" track(Fade to Black and Welcome Home Sanitarium), they both also have one instrumental track. Anyway, Metallica is the best metal band ever and these tracks show you why. It makes you want to beat someone up with your bare fists in a back alley. Isn't that what all great metal should do?
