Good Points
Premium version is very thorough.

Bad Points
Premium version is slower, but that's the price you pay for excellence. Free version is very good, but less than excellent.

General Comments
I have been using Avira on 3 PCs (2 Premium, 1 free version) for 4 or 5 years now and with the exception of the PC that has the free version, it has caught every virus/worm/trojan that has attempted an invasion. The only one that the free version didn't find was the "Windows XP Antivirus" that was around back in 2008.
