Cheap jewelry, remember if something is too good to be true, it just might be.


Bad Points

-shady business practice
-horrible customer service
-Please save your money, because even if they do give you a refund, they automatically deduct shipping and handling and they remove 20% of the item's value( a "restocking" fee)


General Comments

I was surfing on the internet and I clicked on a banner on a website, it was for bidz.com. I was about to graduate and my husband and I choose a 1 carat diamond journey necklace from bidz.com. The total cost of the item was approximately 176.00 (w/ shipping). I paid the full amount on the same day with paypal. Three business days later, I received an e-mail telling me that my item was sent to a shipping factory in New Jersey and that I should be expecting my item within 3-4 weeks, however I estimated that it might take an extra week for I live in Canada (custom purposes). After the 4th week, I e-mail bidz.com asking them when I should be expecting my necklace, they said that they had already sent my necklace and that if I requested a refund I would have to fill out a "refund form" which I would have to get notarized, then I would have to wait for an internal investigation after which I would obtain a refund. Now that seemed long to me, therefore I called my credit card company and they informed me bidz.com was in fact a very smart business. A little known fact is that, with my credit card company, I have 60 days from the time I charge an item to my credit card to receive the item, if I do not receive it the credit card company has the right to collect a full refund of the item for you. After I sent my claim, bidz.com closed my account.
