General Comments

I am not going to tell about American Airlines delays, I saw many comments about that. So, that part is clear. I flew to Jamaica with my husband. On the way back I had to fly to San Francisco via Miami. Montego Bay to Maimi flight is only a little over an hour, however, the flight was delayed (of course) and at the time of scheduled boarding in Montego Bay our plane just left Miami. When we finally got to Miami we missed our connection to San Francisco. We actually had 15 minutes and I was pretty sure we could make it to another plane, but they said that they assumed that we are late anyway and gave our seats to other passengers. So they booked us to another flight, but instead of straight flight Miami to SF that was Miami-LA-SF with 5 hour connection in LA. We got coupons for breakfast and lunch instead and had to spend a night in a hotel in Miami. By the way food coupons you can use only in the airport, most hotels don't accept them including the one they sent us to. Next morning we got back to the airport and it turned out that they didn't assigned seats to us and we had to wait until all passengers were on board. Without to many details, they randomly chose a couple who bough tickets for that flight and upgread them to first class and gave us their seats. I was trying cooperate all the time until that moment. Because of their terrible timing I missed my cinnection, and got home a day later so I missed my first day at university, and they didn't consider that to be enough to give us those first class seats. I felt like I went through o much trouble already, but the lotery winner were some random passengers who had no problems with this airlines. I am sorry but I just don't understand their logic. When I raised the question why did that happened they said nothing but gave us more food coupons for inconvinience. That was the last time I flew with American Airlines.
