Good Points

Well kept park and accommodation (2 bed, modern kitchen, heated flooring, 2 toilets, 2 LCDTVs, DVD player, nice clean furniture etc), very quiet, well organised.

Staff in all locations (service, restaurants, events) all very friendly (in the extreme), helpful and chatty. Some events are a little high in price, BUT, well worth the money - e.g. we did Laser Clay Shooting - £18 each, but it went on for over an hour and was really good fun, which we think was worth it. Eating out prices not much different to high-street prices.

Bad Points

Not many.... bike parks should be covered where possible. Couple of minor problems with the lodge, but nothing to complain about - and one of the restaurants forgot our dessert (despite being reminded), but I was happy with the way the staff dealt with it.

General Comments

Just got back from a week in Center Parcs Elveden - and must say, it was miles better than I was expecting.

I was a bit worried reading some of the reviews on the 'net about this location, but I think some people must be incredibly fussy, or just very unlucky.

It CAN be expensive, but only as expensive as you make it. If you hold out for good offers on the accomodation and be sensible with your spending (take own food, dont do too many activities etc), then its very reasonable.

We stayed in a new Woodland Style lodge in the 'Cedar' area and it was lovely, very quiet, loads of wildlife (even had a deer on our patio one morning) and set back from the road. Eateries were actually very reasonably priced, as was the main supermarket (even had special offers), though its best to take your own shopping if you can.

Thank You for this reassuring review. My husband, I and our 2 daughters aged 9 and 12 are about to go there for this weekend and we too rented a woodland cottage. I had several mini stresses when reading some of these reviews but am now nearly positve that it wont be as bad as people say. I am just worried my husband wont like it as he has incredibly high standards. Thanks again.
