The Elan 32 is extremely easy to use. The handle bars can be loosened and can be folded down so I can take the mower to my grannies to do her lawn too. The 30 litre grass crate is great because I dont have to empty it all the time.
The grass crate is slightly heavier than the machine part and occasionally the mower falls over. The mower even without the collection is quite heavy when carrying - not so good dropped on feet!! The cable may be indeed long but gets in the way and may cause an electric shock if mowed over! The motor is quite loud and so limits how long and what time on a Sunday morning you can use it!
This Qualcast Elan 32 was purchased solely to replace my 23 year old Concorde RE25 DL mower. Last month (Apr 2009) the Concorde RE finally broke for good. I couldnt believe it but when I last used it, one of the metal blades physically snapped off and the cylinder would not spin! Although it had served me well for a long time and was a great help but the blades were becoming blunt and the left wheel was bent sideways. Now I have purchased this Elan 32, I still feel Qualcast still serve their customers very satisfactorily.
