After having my personal account with Barclays for 14 years, when I needed a business account I looked to them first. They were also offering a good deal with the automated tariff. They were awful from the start, others have mentioned similar problems to myself so I'm pleased to hear I'm not alone. I won't rant but wanted to give an idea of what I went through whilst with Barclays. I was sent my bank card but no pin number, when I called I was told one hadn't been ordered, they will get one sent to me, this didn't arrive, took me weeks to get them to order me a pin number to go with the card! They closed down my linked savings account twice by accident, after the first time I was sent a bunch of flowers and given £50, then 1 week later it was done again. They cancelled bank cards by accident leaving me waiting in for replacements. They have to be prompted at every turn & I had to initiate many basic things which should have been provided as part of opening an account, such as requesting the sending of a pin number. I am now considering moving my personal account.
