Good Points

Fully automatic, just put in ingredients set programmes and leave it to work. Delayed timer is also useful - main white bread recipe takes 4 hours. Plus this model 255d has special paddle for rye bread, (not tried that yet). Makes three different sized loaves and a range of doughs including pizza dough.


Bad Points

Bread top crust comes out pale if you use recipes supplied. Machine is quite tall on counter and difficult to see controls if you are short. Internal basket handle does not lie flat when you tip the finished bread out, which means it gets in the way. This should be easy to redesign.


General Comments

Wanted breadmaker for home baked bread after our local baker closed and this does not disappoint. The Panasonic SD255 Breadmaker makes very nice white loaves, much better than we managed by hand (ours never rose much) plus it means you don't have to hang around kneading dough and waiting for the dough to rise, the machine does it all. Ideal for anyone who wants tasty home baked bread.
