Bennett's Motorcycle Insurance are useless and won't be getting my renewal but they must make a major contribution to road safety because I'm going to have to ride very carefully for the year and chain a half-starved rabid pit-bull to the bike every time I leave it unattended, as I dread to think what they're like if you have to claim!!

- Here's Why -

"Customer service" is terrible. I'm buying a brand new bike so the dealer needs a copy covernote to register the bike. Advised to get one e-mailed to them as VLA wont accpet faxes (fair comment) I spoke to Bennetts and explained the problem the woman said "all we can do is fax one" I told her this was not acceptable to VLA and surely there must be a way to resolve the issue she said "Bennett's don't do it" I pointed out lots of customers buy insurance from Bennett's for new bikes so it must be a common problem she said " Oh, yes it happens all the time" I then asked if she would post a copy cover-note to the bike dealer to which she begrudgingly replied "I suppose so" and took details. I now find out they use 'business post' which I'd never heard of but apparently is slower than a pigeon. I complained and they said it woudl go 2nd class, I even offerd to pay the extra few pence for a 1st class stamp but got the "computer says no" response.
Why did I never have the same problems buying a new car???
