Good Points

great in high altitude even riding double on grades, excellent storage, more can be added when buying the genuine suzuki color-matched top case for for the bandit or burgman 400 (suzuki accessory catalog does not list top case for 650 for some odd reason) then buy the 650 mount for the for the case from "GIVI" who actually makes the case for suzuki anyway, when buying the case from your suzuki dealer color matched top cap for lid is not included or back rest so don't forget to add these items, another slick reason to go oem (on the case) is the "S" logo on top of color matched painted lid cap (something you dont get when buying entire set from Givi), one more thing suzuki doesn't offer the brake lamp kit for the red center case lense or the cargo lamp for the inside of the lid but when your ordering mount from "givi-usa" ask about these and they will hook you up!

Bad Points

never liked the engine braking on decelleration at slow speeds w/ closed throttle, in slow traffic you need to be real gingerly on the gas (smooth) or you'll be pulling your face out of the handle bars constantly or whipping your passenger back and forth, could stand a little more free wheel coasting characteristics then adding the brakes yourself when needed

General Comments

I have a black 2008 burgman 650 executive and absolutely love it, I found out about the bike when the cycle world bike show came to phoenix in november of 2007, and while not wanting to ride my vintage pristine 2-stroke collection to work everyday I decided to try the chinese 150 & 250 scooters recently being imported at the time, I never was attracted to any scooters unless it was one of the wicked looking italian small bore 2-strokes with the wild & twisted looking exhaust systems, scooters had no place in my life of performance until I needed something cheap on gas with easy cleaning & storage at a new car dealer for work and then quickly found out that they actually had a purpose (no more back packs on sport bikes) after making numerouse calls to the wife about coming home late because constant broken exhaust system bolts on the chinese stuff I knew I needed something like it but it had to be japanese, I have seen no marketing by suzuki for this amazing bike anywhere, 99% of the local dealers around arizona dont even stock them, I couldn't even find any current sales literature on the bike newer than 07 even after calling suzuki motor corp (not avail) the fact is no other bike manufacturer even makes anything like it, It's heavy for its size (a good thing) very smooth, very stable, quick accelerator, this bike will cruise at 85-mph and can pour on more! The real scooter guy's dont call it a scooter and the bike guy's dont call it a bike, this machine will put you in that chevy el'camino group (not a truck /not a car), known as "sport touring hyper-scoots", after seeing them at the suzuki booth at the show I found plenty of clubs around the world, and not a bad word or any horror story's regarding its dependability, one thing I didnt realize is that this bike has actually been around a long time, the executive (my bike) is like a mini-BMW with its antilock brakes and power windscreen.(great for raising in cool mornings & lowering in warm afternoons) The honda silver wing has nothing on this bike and you know suzuki left honda blind sided the day this bike was released!
