Good Points
They are great while they work! Look quite good, and are reasonably quiet. The filters are good for people who suffer from asthma or dust allergies.
Ebac customer support is very good. Faulty units were replaced quickly.

Bad Points
Reliability. They don't seem to last very long, and that's after you've got one that works. Very disappointing, I'm all for promoting British companies but Ebac need to sort the reliability issues. Sadly I've bought a Mitsubishi this time. It worked right out of the box, and is still running six months on. Time will tell.
My old Ebac 2200e is still working well.

General Comments
I have a very old Ebac 2200e unit which has been running for several years and has been great.

Had high hopes when I bought a 2650e - it worked well for around 18 months, leaked refrigerant and was scrapped.

Ordered a new one. First out of the box wasn't working. Ebac replaced. Second also wasn't working. Ebac replaced. Third arrived - worked great for around 18 months, before leaking refrigerant and failed.
