The bike looks nice with retro styling, just like in the pictures. it does get to its top speed quite quickly.
General Comments
This scooter sounded too good to be true. Specs were twin 1500W motor (one in each wheel). 3kWH LiFePO4 giving 70miles radius, regenerative braking, 50MPH top speed all for less than 2000UKP.
Unfortunately it wasn't true. The motors are clearly stamped 500W, not 1500W as claimed. The Battery pack was 1kWH Lithium Ion, totally inadequate for even the 1kW motor pair and not the Battery technology claimed. I've not dared to try the range as the motor started cutting out after only 5km due to low battery voltage under load. The top speed is not 50mph but 45kmph "to conform with EU regulation"
Worse the bike turned up full of scratches. The cable to the front motor had a split in the outer casing. The accelerator was non linear - it took about a quarter turn before anything happened and then it lurched forward - impossible to do a smooth start. The seat did not lock properly making it impossible to store the helmet safely in the space underneath. The general build quality was poor and several screws were missing.
I tried to send it back but got no reply from Elecscoot. I am now trying to get my money back through VISA.
