I really seriously cannot believe why there are such negative comments on here!!
If The Lion King was so bad then why did it win 11 awards altogether including 6 Tonys and an Olivier and won BEST Musical of the year?? And it was named "Unlike anything Broadway has ever seen"
For those of you who thought it was awful, you really have NO idea what real theatrical magic is! It's all a work of art!
And Julie Taymor was a creative genius!
True there were some parts that could have been worked on, but it's THEATRE not a cartoon, and it's not a huge African plain either.
You would wonder why this show gets so many rave reviews and that's coming from nostaligia critics themeselves!
