Good Points

Certainly NOT worth £100 because for an extra £50 you can get the Stihl FS 50.

Bad Points

Needed some fettling to improve on the basic design.

1. Replace the line with a heavier line than the one that's specified.
2. If you happen to have steel toe-capped boots, try using steel wire instead of plastic line.
3. Use a higher octane fuel such as Shell's V-Power with slightly more oil in the fuel mixture.

General Comments

I got my McCulloch Trimmac 210 Petrol strimmer 2nd hand from the local paper and so it was cheap. I feel that it doesn't owe me anything.

To get it to start, you could keep 'treating' it to new spark-plugs, that it keeps coking up.

Alternatively, use a wire brush soaked in petrol to de coke the plug.
