Good Points

Tour Manager
Indian lunch & Dinner
Mercure Hotel in amsterdam and Germany
Fun inside the coach with fellow passengers as the age group of people travelling was mostly 20-35.

Bad Points

The booking office is extremely slow and inefficient. This was the part which was bad.
If you book a tour with taj tours PLEASE call them everytime and all the time to confirm if they have received your documents, filled ur visa ,received ur visa and sent you your visa back.Because they will never call you.
But if you are proactive you can save yourself lots of headache. And you need to be , as there is no other option, After we paid the money we got no response and had to call them up to acknowledge receipt of funds. However we did get a invoice after 2 days by post within UK. A call from taj tours would have helped the matter once they recieved the funds.

General Comments

Me and my spouse went for a 4 day trip to Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne in April 2009, easter holidays. This was supposed to be the first trip of summer season for Taj Tours.

We had mostly seen bad reviews of Taj tours and were sceptical. Our expectations was very low. But luckily the trip turned out to be very nice. The tour manager was very nice lady. She was very knowledgable about places and always wanted to show us more places.
We had food in good indian resturants wherever we went and it was extremly good. We were put up in Mercure hotel in Amsterdam and Cologne. It was a super hotel with excellent breakfast facilities. The tour was a bit hectic as it was supposed to be a sight seeing one and our tour guide wanted us to see more places. We did not stop at unnecessary shopping areas.
On such tours one should be prepared to start the tour at morning 6 and come back at night.
We were well taken care of by our tour guide. We had to pay extra for some places which was not there in itenary and our tour manager wanted us to see.(Like Madurodam -mini holland and Cheese & clog factory)
It was worth it.So you should carry some extra euros per person.
In all it was a very nice tour with excellent 4 star hotels, good indian food and a nice tour manager.
Details of tour:
day 1 - london to brussels- grand palace square and then amsterdam - madurodam(paid extra) and check in
day 2 - amsterdam sight seeing - cheese and clog factory (paid extra), amsterdam canal cruise,(included in trip itenary), Keukonof garden (tulips), Den haag beach, then dinner and then amsterdam by night tour --red light district tour, Use discretion for family, children not allowed , dam square at night-
day 3 - left for germany, cologne cathedral in afternoon, then river rhine cruise, dinner and check in hotel.
day 4 - Rhudeshime village (we paid extra and our tour manager did well to manage time for this) then depart to calais for channel ferry crossing to dover.

overall this is a sightseeiing trip and not a one to relax. Be prepared for a hectic trip.
