The building, grounds and facilities are excellent and the staff generally friendly (if not quite 4 star) and the breakfast was good.
Bad Points
Restaurant food wasn't really up to stratch, it was really trying a bit too hard and couldn't quite pull it off. Something simpler but better done would have been preferred - that said, even fish and chips was a struggle, batter soggy and chips limp.
General Comments
Greenwoods Hotel Spa and Retreat is like a Hilton, not bad at all, not boutique but then it doesn't sell itself as that and it is in a great location, easy to access from London but you really do feel out of the City.
I would definitely stay there again but would prefer a package that didn't include dinner!
