Good web site, pain-free ordering, they have their own delivery and installation service (worth paying the money for) and you get e-mailed and telephoned by human beings which is always nice.
Bad Points
Delivery can be reasonably lengthy, delivery can be expensive (to be expected) and I was offered the chance to get it earlier for an extra 10 pounds after I'd ordered which didn't seem right to me since this wasn't in the options at purchase.
General Comments
I rejected a few other furniture companies because they didn't look right and I ordered a chair from Intercounty and a guy phoned that afternoon to confirm. I enquired about the delivery time which was ten working days. I was offered the chance to get it earlier for an extra 10 pounds where this delivery option wasn't available at purchase, but I don't like companies doing that and I pointed that out. I know many companies don't intend it that way but it doesn't come off right. Get your delivery charges and options in up front.
The delivery time can be a bit lengthy and off-putting at well over two weeks after order so you need a company that stays in contect with you. However, this is furniture you're buying and not a DVD from Amazon. Companies aren't going to have stock lying around like that and certainly not the furniture they sell. I'd rather they took their time.
When the ten working days were up I got a phone call telling me it would arrive on Thursday or Friday and it arrived on Friday morning in one of Intercounty's own vans with a proper signed delivery note. I like furniture companies who have their own delivery service and it's not something you want bashed around in the vehicle of some unnamed carrier. I do wish they would e-mail as well as phone though as you're not always around to answer. All the bits were there and I got it assembled in no time.
Certainly if I wanted to buy and install larger and specific items of furniture such as desks etc. I'd have no problems at all using these guys again. If they polish some of the rough edges then they'll get an easy ten.
