Good Points

Fairly cheap initial cost. This is probably why they are fitted by developers into new buildings. Unfortunately this is outweighed by poor manufacturing quality.


Bad Points

Very poor manufacturing quality control. I have two separate units which broken down quite a few times (approx. six times) over the last two and a half years. These breakdowns were caused by several different faults e.g. loss of gas, malfunction of electronics, etc. The service company which provided the warranty service now refuses to do so in future because they haven't been paid by GREE.


General Comments

I believe the Gree Air Conditioners units are built too cheaply to consider as a worthwhile long-term option for landlords or business people. They not dependable enough. After-sales and warranty service is practically non-existent. Purchase at own risk.
