The Toshiba Pocket PC e570 is a really good PDA although it is my first one. When looking to by my first PDA I was looking for something that looks good, feels good, and does the jobs I want. Because of me being a student, this is mainly things like - playing MP3, being able to edit word documents to do essays etc, and to have access to the internet. With it's compact flash type 2 slots it can have a modem or a 1GB micro-drive. I chose the e570 mainly because of its price, because it's cheaper than the Compaq Ipaq H3660. If you need blue tooth then go for the Ipaq as that has it all built in. When using the e570 I found it comfortable to work with, not only does it fit nicely into your hand but it also has a nice front-lit screen, which means it's really easy to work with indoors and out. I did have some troubles with setting up software that I bought for it, just make sure you read the manual first. Once you get used to it though it's really simple and quick. If you want a quick easy to use PDA with reasonable upgrade options choose this. However, if you can afford that bit extra go for the Ipaq you don't have to get the blue tooth with it, but it does have more upgrade options, such as the ability to have a PC card slot. PC card modems are a lot cheaper than compact flash modems. Overall a very versatile PDA easy to use, and with MMC slot I think it will be future proof, as I have read on the net that there are going to be many upgrade options with MMC/SD, like digital cameras etc.
