General Comments

I replaced my 2006 Subaru Forester last year with a new 2009 Forester. The redesigned '09 is a big improvement over the previous model. It is taller and has a higher driver's position for better visibility. The back seat has much more leg room for passengers.
The '09 gives me 28 miles per US gallon on the highway and 23 mpg in town. It is powerful enough for the mountains of New England and handles well in the snow.
My previous Subaru was quite reliable and I expect the '09 will be the same. Overall the Forester is a fine small SUV.
