Good Points

The Jade was clean and common spaces well kept. The food and service in the restaurants with an upcharge fee was very good . Ports of call: Barcelona, Rome, Athens, Izmir, Cairo/Alexandria, Valetta were very interesting and security was present.

Bad Points

Long lines in main Grand Pacific and other non-upcharge restaurants, even with a reservation. Ship felt crowded and staff reported cruise was oversold. Longer wait periods when getting off the ship for shore excursions. Entertainment early on was basic and not as intersting as past cruises with NCL.

General Comments

Sailed from Barcelona in May 2009 on the Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Jade and felt ports of call were interesting, offering a broad cross-section of the Med. Recommend booking a balcony or bigger if cruise has extended "sea time" and to receive better room/maid service.
