Good Points

Outdoor pool, staff friendliness, good quality menu in restaurant.


Bad Points

Menu a bit expensive, Tranquillity Spa sauna rarely in action.


General Comments

I agree fully with the comments about Esporta Dorset - the staff are pleasant and helpful and the general atmosphere very welcoming. I know there have been financial issues over the years which resulted in less than perfect gym equipment, but the new management seem to be on to this and most things now work well. The usp is the swimming area - great outdoor pool (always open, even in winter) and indoor pool of a good length and rarely crowded. The Tranquillity (their spelling!) Spa area is equally friendly, though when both the sauna and steam room were out of action recently I was left twiddling my thumbs for half an hour with nothing but an old copy of Hello magazine. ..

All in all, though, this is the best club in the area.
