Good Points

Few but the food was ok, the sprats were nice.

Bad Points

Many! The service was awful, nobody seemed to be in control of the restaurant and it looked like disorganised chaos. They were woefully lacking in staff and it showed. They weren't even busy but took ages to deliver anything. Very very disappointing.

General Comments

I have to say I was excited when I heard of a good fish restaurant some twenty minutes from my front door. When told Swan Inn, Barnby was award winning and reasonably priced then even better! But how dissapointed I was. We went on Sunday evening for a 6:30pm booking, our order was taken at 6:45 and the waitress had no idea what gluten free meant and to be frank was quiet and disinterested. The main problem with the meal was though that they forgot a main course for my father, not only did they forget it but then took 30 minutes to cook the turbot and never actually made any effort to make up for it. We had all finished by this point and it destroyed the meal. To then be given pudding menu's and left for 20 minutes with nobody to take the order was enough and we walked out. The food was actually average but the service was the worst I have ever had in a restaurant.
