Great location with really good views. Clean and well-maintained. Try the fish and chips at Inghams in Filey - really good. 2 portions between 4 at luchtime was plenty, sat overlooking the bay!
Shop well -stocked, and although a bit pricey, you can get most things you'd expect to need.
Bad Points
Shame the water slide wasn't open as the pool was good fun.
Eating out locally? Avoid Marco Polo II - it might be the nearest restaurant , and Happy Hour of £4.50 pizza or pasta seems great value, but don't go there expecting pizza express. We waited over an hour just to get 4 pizzas - service v. poor, and food quality only average at best. Took a while to get even an apology "it''s a bank holiday Sunday" was the excuse, and they graciously took 10% off the bill. Thanks. Managed to stop one family going in though when we told them in the car park how bad it was. ha ha. We weren't the only group to have a complaint.
Big portions, but worth going into Filey - it would be quicker! Pity - great location for the sites on the doorstep.
General Comments
Haven Holidays, Reighton Sands was a good value weekend. Accommodation fine for family of 4 and a dog. Entertainment just average, but the walks locally were great. Get the bus to Filey and walk back along the beach - allow 1.5 hrs to get back but on a good day it's a cracking walk. Staff very helpful. Excellent "tractor-bus" service from the site down to the beach and back.
