General Comments

i have been riding with Matchmoor Riding Centre for over 13 yrs it is a really good place to start learning to ride and to continue to progress through your riding career.
looking at a few other reviews i can see someone has commented about staff not lettin general public do things with the horses. this is due to the staff worrying about the customers. the yard offers training courses which enable customers to help on the yard and get a better experiance. also one person commented on how she was shouted at for how she was told off by a member of staff for stratching zac with her whip this is unsatisfactory on the customers part as any normal person would understand that if you want to stroke a pony do not use whips. the staff are just being safety consious as horse riding is a dangerous sport.
another reveiw stated they didnt understand the 1/2hr hack policy this is to ensure the rider can do the basic skills to ensure they can ride alone in a lesson setting as i am a qualified instructor i can understand this policy as the customer will not learn anything until they know how to steer walk and trot. it is for their own good. also customers generally only need 2-3 hacks before starting lessons.
however i would recomed this riding school to any1 as it has friendly staff, luvly instructors and brilliant facilities they always welcome new faces and if you ask they will show you extra things on care of a horse.
the variety of horses enables riders at this school to become more confident and flexible with their riding skills which is always a good thing.
