General Comments
I have been a sky customer for 7yrs now. In 2006 i decided to get a HD box which was £299 + paid £10 every month for HD. I even got my phone line and broadband with them, basically i had the whole package. After 25 months, our box broke down. We went for the insurance, recommended by them. When the engineer came to fix the problem he asked who had fitted the box in, to which we said the sky engineer. He then said that the scart lead had not been fitted to the HDMI input and hence we were not getting HD quality picture.
We sent an email to sky but no reply for over two months. Every time i call customer services they said someone will call you back but no one did. I even asked for the head office no. so that i could call them but they wouldn't give it. Finally after three months got to speak to someone from customer relations. All she could say was we would not be getting any refund whatsoever as we had not reported the problem earlier. We did report as soon as we knew. And if we have paid for installation then it's not my job to go looking behind the TV to see if it's all fitted in properly. If our box had not broken down, we would still be paying £10 a month for nothing. We have now can canceled HD and multiroom. We are also looking at changing our phone+broadband. Do not wish to pay sky any more than necessary.Got no choice with our TV as have no cable in my area. Even a little refund and i would have been a happy customer.
